Responsible for facilities management for all schools and district related buildings and grounds. Responsible for the transportation of 4000+ students and a fleet of 96 buses. Managing recovery and rebuilding from extensive torndo damage in May of 2011.
2007 – 2011 JOHN Q HAMMONS HOTELS
Vice President Capital Planning and Asset Protection
Responsible for the capital planning, renovation, project management and financial reporting for 78 hotels. Hotel portfolio consisted of Marriott, Hilton, Embassy Suites, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence in by Marriott, Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites and unbranded hotels. Renovation budget includes $100+ million of PIP’s, capital improvements and varied projects. Managed complete package of engineering operations including audits, site visits, energy conservation and preventive maintenance. Oversaw hurricane emergency plans and insurance claims during hurricane recovery. Maintain current knowledge of brand standards. Created and implemented capital tracking systems. Assumed responsibility for the design team as of early 2010.

Corporate Director of Engineering
Directed the renovation and construction of 30 hotels. Renovation and construction budget includes $5.6 million of varied projects, $26 million capital improvements of the 128-room Ellis Hotel, a historic restoration project in Atlanta. Directed the $23 million renovation of the Pink Shell Resort in Fort Meyers, Florida. Total budget responsibility in 2006/2007 is $54.6 million. Duties also include engineering operations audits, and monthly conference calls to individual hotel Chief Engineers as well as ongoing site visits as required. Supervise all vendors and contractors. Reported to the President.

Regional Asset Manager
Responsible for engineering, asset protection, renovation and property management for two 500-unit apartment complexes, three hotels (Radisson, two Holiday Inn), and new construction/restoration of 14 fitness centers averaging 50,000 square feet each. Capital improvement budget for the 14 fitness centers totaled $70 million plus the hotels and apartment complexes. Reported to the owner.

Provided engineering support to six hotels consisting of two-400 unit full-service hotels, three Courtyards, and two Fairfield Inns. Also was a member of the Marriott National Task Force for Y2K preparation.
